Simplify Your Brand, Boost Engagement ✨

Feeling like your brand’s doing too much? I get it. Overloaded colours, random fonts, and a website that makes people scratch their heads—it happens to the best of us. But here’s the thing: simplicity isn’t boring. It’s powerful. When your brand is clear, cohesive, and easy to engage with, people notice. They stick around. They trust you.

Let’s break it down: what to fix, what to avoid, and how to make your brand work smarter (not harder).

TLDR:

Simple brands are more engaging. Fewer colours, clear fonts, and a streamlined user journey = more trust, clicks, and happy humans.

3 Things I’d Watch Out For

  1. Too Many Colours 🎨
If your brand looks like a box of crayons exploded, it’s time to rein it in. Stick to 3–5 core colours. Anything more and you risk looking chaotic.
  2. Inconsistent Fonts 🔤
Mismatched typography screams, “I didn’t plan this.” Your brand should feel like it belongs in the same room, not three different parties.
  3. Confusing Website Navigation 🗺️
If people have to play detective to find your contact form, they’re gone. Your site should guide users, not leave them guessing.

3 Things I’d Fix

  1. Your Colour Palette
Pick one dominant colour, two complementary shades, and a neutral. Use them consistently across your brand. Pro tip: if your buttons blend in with your primary colour, swap them for something punchy.
  2. Your User Journey
Map out how people move through your site. Are your CTAs (calls to action) obvious? Is the path from homepage to conversion seamless?
  3. Your Visual Assets
Centralise your logos, templates, and other design elements in one place. It’s like Marie Kondo-ing your brand.

Quick To-Do Checklist ✅

  • Stick to 3–5 colours across your brand.
  • Use two fonts consistently (one for headlines, one for body text).
  • Map out your website journey and simplify every step.
  • Centralise your assets (logos, templates, fonts) in one folder.
  • Update your CTAs to be clear and enticing.

Top Tip:

Think of your brand like a house: if every room (or page) looks different, people get confused. Keep things cohesive to make your audience feel at home.

Design Trick:

Make your buttons stand out by using a contrasting colour to your primary brand shade. For example, if your main colour is blue, try a bold orange for buttons. It’s a small change that makes a massive difference.
